Troubleshooting
Lock Not Responding After Battery Replacement

- Try removing the batteries, wait 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
- Ensure the battery contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
Lock Shows "Low Battery" After Replacing Batteries
- Make sure you've used new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Remove and reinstall the batteries to ensure good connections.
- If the alert persists, perform a system reset: press and hold the Reset button (small pinhole on the interior unit) for 5 seconds.
Door Lock Jams or Operates Slowly
- This can be a sign that the batteries are not providing enough power.
- Try using premium-brand alkaline batteries.
- Check if the lock mechanism needs lubrication (see lock maintenance guide).
Important Notes
- Do not use rechargeable batteries as they provide lower voltage that may affect performance.
- Replace all batteries at once; do not mix old and new batteries.
- Battery life varies based on usage frequency, environmental conditions, and battery quality.
- Your lock settings and codes will be preserved during battery replacement.
- For models manufactured after 2023, the lock has an emergency backup power port. If batteries are completely dead, you can temporarily power the lock using a 9V battery against the external contacts on the bottom of the exterior keypad.
