Responding to the Battery Low Alert on Your EcoSync Pro Door Lock
This article explains what to do when you receive a "Battery Low Alert" notification for your EcoSync Pro Door Lock, including how to locate and replace the batteries.
Understanding the Battery Low Alert
When your EcoSync Pro Door Lock detects that battery power is running low (approximately 20% remaining), it will send a "Battery Low Alert" through:
- The EcoSync mobile app as a push notification
- Email alerts (if configured in your settings)
- The lock itself via a series of rapid beeps when operated
- A yellow LED indicator flashing on the interior housing
Important: After receiving this alert, you typically have 2-3 weeks of normal operation before the batteries are completely depleted. Replace the batteries promptly to avoid being locked out.
Battery Specifications
- Battery Type: 4 AA alkaline batteries
- Expected Life: 8-12 months with normal use
- Compatible Brands: Any major brand of alkaline AA batteries
Note: Rechargeable batteries are not recommended as they may cause inaccurate battery level readings.
Locating the Battery Compartment
Many users have difficulty finding the battery compartment on the EcoSync Pro Door Lock. Here's how to locate it:
- Look at the interior side of the door lock (the side facing inside your home)
- Find the main housing cover (typically a rectangular panel)
- At the top of this housing, you'll see a small tab or indentation
- Press this tab and slide the cover downward to reveal the battery compartment
Tip: If you're having trouble, look for a small battery icon embossed on the cover.
